Tân Thiện Nữ U Hồn, The Enchanting Phantom (2020)

Trần Tinh Húc, a young star of Chinese cinema, gained popularity after his role as Quách Tĩnh. Since then, he has been involved in various successful projects and has been well-received by many. His outstanding talent caught the attention of director Zhenzhao Lin, who chose him to play the role of Ninh Thái Thần in the new version of The Enchanting Phantom. After its release in May 2020, the film received mixed reviews. Despite the considerable investment in The Enchanting Phantom 2020, it failed to leave a lasting impression on the audience due to the shadow cast by its predecessors. Alongside Tinh Húc, the film features a talented cast of actors from both China and Hong Kong, such as Trương Trí Hằng, Từ Thiếu Cường, Nguyên Hoa, and Lý Khải Hinh. For those who love this series, it is definitely worth watching. The story revolves around the scholar Thái Thần and his touching love story with the ghost Nhiếp Tiểu Thiện. Thái Thần is assigned to collect taxes from various shops, which requires him to travel extensively. In an unexpected turn of events, he is forced to stay at Nam Nhược Tự and coincidentally meets the beautiful Tiểu Thiện. Despite knowing that she is a ghost, he is determined to help her escape the control of the evil spirit, Thụ Yêu, risking his own life.
